Apex

Fiber Core Basalt
Fiber Insulation

Apex Fiber Core insulation is a non-combustible, water-repellent, vapor-permeable, and sound-absorbing solution for steel and wood-framed walls. It delivers higher insulation values than fiberglass, resists mold, does not retain water, and provides excellent fire stopping.

What is Fiber Core insulation?

Fiber Core insulation is a rigid board offering high R-value per inch (approx. R-4.1), delivering better energy efficiency than conventional insulation. It provides excellent sound insulation, is non-combustible, and maintains integrity during fire exposure. Its hydrophobic, inorganic composition prevents water retention, sagging, mold growth, and pest attraction—allowing surrounding structures to dry while retaining long-term performance.

How It's Made

Fiber Core basaltic fiber insulation is made by spinning molten stone into rigid boards, forming a durable matrix of mineral fiber and air. It is fully inorganic, non-combustible, and environmentally friendly, containing up to 90% recycled content. Highly insulative and fire-resistant, Fiber Core is a sustainable, eco-friendly alternative suitable for any application where conventional insulation is used.

Addressing Energy Code

Heating and cooling use 44% of home energy, and Fiber Core insulation can reduce these costs by up to 30%. Over time, energy savings far exceed manufacturing impact, while its non-toxic, renewable composition ensures fire resistance, mold resistance, and healthy indoor air quality.
